Felix launched a quick fundraiser via his website in efforts to raise money for those facing hard times during the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. Felix has deep Texas roots and he truly could not sit back just watching the devastation so many had suffered. In a Facebook post, Felix wrote..
"Dear Customers,To help our family, friends, customers, and anyone living on the Texas coast, we will be donating 50% of our sales over the next 3 days to benefit the Red Cross of the TX Gulf Coast. A lot of help is needed!!! Please help us help those who are in need!!! We will be doing more for TX in the upcoming weeks but we want to do this ASAP before we fly out to Texas later this week. #prayfortexas #houstonstrong #redcross#felixsfamouscookies
It was with great honor for Felix Castillo to be listed as Chicago 1871's Next Generation of Entrepreneurs You Should Know. Felix was one of a group of young founders who have built businesses, broken molds, and paved the way for future entrepreneurs everywhere. From apps to AI to culinary creations, the young entrepreneurs turned bright ideas into reality. During this one day event, Felix shared his perspective on his own business, lessons learned, and unique journey.
When Felix was 6 years old, he told his mom "I bet I can make Grandma's cookies famous!" Six years later and well over $5,000 of donations to charities, we can all agree he's done just that with his cookie company! It only seemed fitting for Felix to rethink his company's slogan. On August 4th at the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
Business Expo, will announced his new slogan "Making Polvorones Famous One Cause at s Time.
At the end of June I traveled down to San Benito, TX for a very special donation presentation. It was with great Greyhound pride that I donated a portion of my April 2017 cookie sales to The Sbybsl - San Benito Youth Baseball Softball League. I made this donation in memory of my Grandma Toni who loved the game of baseball and loved her hometown! Thank you to the staff and coaches for the SB honorary baseball cap too!
Excited to be featured on a T-Mobile At Work ad in this June's issue of Inc. Magazine ! T-Mobile has been a vital resource for us as a small business and as an on-line retailer. We are proud to help promote their company.
It was donation day for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Libertyville, IL this past May. This donation stemmed from our Pop Up Shop we hosted at their Thrift Shop earlier that month. As always, I presented this donation in memory of my beautiful Grandma Toni.
