It was with great pride to present a portion of our January & February sales to Casa Central in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood. This organization is AMAZING! They offer various services for youth, families and seniors. From after school programs to transitional homes for homeless family, this group truly has blessed so many. Thank you so much to everyone who purchased cookies and made this donation possible!
During the month of December 2017, Felix had selected Gift of Hope as his charity of the month. Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network is a not-for-profit organ procurement organization that coordinates organ and tissue donation and provides public education on donation in Illinois and northwest Indiana. This charity held a special place in his heart in large part to his grandparents - one being a kidney recipient and and one being a tissue donor.
It was with great enthusiasm that he announced that his December sales surpassed his company's sales goal and allowed him to make a signification donation. This donation was by far his largest donation in company history. Felix presented the $750.00 donation to Gift of Hope's President and CEO, Kevin Cmunt at the non-profit's headquarters in Itasca, IL. As always, Felix donated this check in loving memory of his Grandma Toni.
Our friends over at ABC Channel 7 called us about being a featured business for Hispanic Heritage Month, we were excited to show them how much we have grown since launching in 2014. We've baked from our home kitchen, moved to a shared commercial community kitchen and now to operating out of our very own facility. It was truly an honored to be showcased as a thriving Latino business in the Chicagoland area. Click here to watch the video.
